Why should you pay high design firm and advertising agency rates when you can receive the same expertise at a much lower price and greater personal attention? I am a common sense guy who likes to solve problems creatively, and without wasting any of your time. You can count on me to respond to you faster than your own assistant.
Biography
I have been freelancing as an illustrator and graphic designer since 1985. I worked my share of eight to five jobs in the early years in print for newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies. After five years as a senior designer with Country Insurance and Financial Services, I moved to Minneapolis and have been operating my own design studio since. Thanks to the digital age, I create computer illustration and graphic design for clients all over the world.
My focus in the last several years has been direct mail, book, catalog, brochure, magazine and other print design. And I do plenty of logo development, branding, clothing, and product illustration.
Back in the day, I went to Illinois State University, received my BA in fine art focusing on graphic design. Then I was pursuing a career in Medical Illustration, and Graphic Design was a back up plan. Well, I finished my degree in fine arts and minored in human biology. I was accepted to the U of I in Chicago, medical arts program, but decided to avoid long-term student loans and join the world of advertising. I have been an illustrator and designer ever since. And I love it.
If you want to meet the family, I keep an informal family photo archive here.
